After hours of tedious javascript hunting and testing as well as photoshopping, I have finally posted the newest Gin & Roses layout. Although I can't seem to create a layout that is as perfect as I'd like, this one shall have to do for now. A lot of javascript seems to be impossible to code on blogger, but I FINALLY found one that worked to the effect that I wanted: some of the images within the layout change from black and white to color when you hover over them. A simple detail, but one that I will be working much more with in the future (I already know what my second layout will be!). I can't tell if I like the three column layout or if it crowds the page, nor do I like having so much ugly stuff in the side columns. What does everyone else think?

Love the new layout! The font is a little small for me but like the simplicity!

Great layout! I can appreciate the work you put into it. I find tweaking scripts and codes in blogger to be a bit of a pain. I generally find 3-column layouts to utilize space better, but I think that's just a personal preference.
ReplyDeleteLoved the editorials in your last post by the way. I think most cities look more magical during the night... the lights add a touch of beauty you just don't see during the day.
I love the layout...simplicity always says it best. :) Keep it up!
